Jefferson County Hospital (JCH) is a rural, 25-bed, critical access hospital providing acute inpatient medical care, skilled nursing care, emergency services and ancillary services for both inpatients and outpatients. JCH also operates rural health clinics in the towns of Ringling and Ryan. Opened in 1972, it is the only hospital in Jefferson County.

JCH is located in Waurika, OK the county seat of Jefferson County in southwestern Oklahoma. There are approximately 6500 people in Jefferson County, and the hospital also regularly sees patients from portions of Cotton County and Stephens County. These individuals choose our hospital because it is closer to where they live and it allows their loved ones to visit them and be close to them in their time of illness. The hospital also sees approximately 200 patients per month through the Emergency Room.
Waurika Lake, a 10,000 acre lake, is about 6 miles from Waurika and provides excellent opportunities for fishing and hunting. Approximately 6,040 acres of project lands have been made available to the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation for wildlife management purposes and are open to the public as a public hunting area.
