Mercy Health Center

Mercy Health Center

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Mercy Health Center is the only hospital in Oklahoma that has proven the excellence to be named Magnet. Magnet is the gold standard for nursing and Mercy is among only 3 percent of hospitals in the nation to be awarded Magnet status by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Mercy is among a list of distinguished Magnet hospitals, including M.D. Anderson, Johns Hopkins and Cedars-Sinai. We are among the best of the best.

For you, Magnet means everything. It means Mercy delivers compassionate care and provides more nursing care at the bedside. Time and time again, Magnet-designated facilities have reported higher patient satisfaction rates, better patient outcomes and shorter lengths of patient stays.

For almost 200 years, Mercy has been caring for people. In 1822, Mercy Foundress Catherine McAuley inherited a fortune and she did the unexpected. With gentle tenacity and incredible courage, she opened a house in the middle of a wealthy neighborhood in Dublin, Ireland, to care for impoverished women and children. It was against all odds, but still, she did it.

From Ireland to America to around the world, wherever there was need, the Sisters of Mercy brought mercy. They were Mercy. Today, Mercy continues to touch lives with compassionate care. It’s who we are. It’s how we treat our patients, their families and our co-workers.

But what Catherine McAuley established 200 years ago is not complete. That’s why we ask you to join us in our journey.
